Thing 1-2-3 Foundation Challenge Grant
Thing 1-2-3 Foundation will match donations made by Elmhurst residents,
businesses, and community organizations up to $300,000 over the next
three years. Founded in 1999 by Jim and Nancy Ruprecht, Thing
1-2-3 Foundation is a private foundation focused on meeting the needs of
children.

Jewel-Osco Challenge Grant
Jewel-Osco has issued a challenge grant to the food industry to match
their commitment of $400,000 to the capital campaign. Originally
established in 1899, Jewel-Osco, a SUPERVALU company, operates 186
stores in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa.

Bersted Challenge Grant
For every $3 donated the Alfred Bersted Foundation will donate $1 - so
your $1,000 donation would become $1,333! Through this challenge and your
generosity we can raise an additional $25,000 for our new Food
Distribution Center.
